Sungai Lunchoo Navigation Run by KD Ganyang
JOHOR BAHRU, 10 March - KD GANYANG for the first time has successfully conducted the Sungai Lunchoo Navigation Run, a series of Day and Night Navigation Exercises in the waters of the Tebrau Strait, Johor specially designed for the 1st Squadron Fast Attack Craft (SKPL 1).
This training initiative is the brainchild of the Commander Naval Region 1, Laksmana Muda Dato' Zulhelmy bin Ithnain. The two -hour training through the Narrow Channel as far as 18 nautical miles aims to increase the level of competence and confidence of the Young Officers and the Support Team to be always ready in all situations.
KD GANYANG has also made history as the first ship to arrive at the TLDM Reserve Force Command Headquarters at Sungai Lunchoo RMN Base, Johor since the Headquarters opened last year. Commanding Officer of KD GANYANG cum Senior Squadron Officer, Lt Kdr Thamendran Krishnan Kutty RMN accompanied by Commanding Officer of KD GEMPITA, Lt Kdr Fariz Hedry Ling bin Firdaus Hedry Ling RMN then paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the RMN Reserve Force, First Admiral Zainul Rashid bin Abdullah .
The Commander of the RMN Reserve Force was pleased to welcome the ship to the Headquarters. He also invited SKPL 1 ships to carry out training with members of the RMN Reserve Team in the future in order to increase the RMN's capabilities to a higher level.
